YourAdExchange is a malicious application that you should not keep installed on your computer. It is listed as an adware for displaying advertisements on various web browsers. As reported, this application gets installed on users’ computers without them even being aware of that and starts malicious activities on their web browsers. It’s not difficult to indicate this malware once it’s inside, because most of those advertisements displayed by YourAdExchange are labeled with slogans “Ads by YourAdExchange” or “Brought to you by YourAdExchange”. If you have noticed this on any of your web browsers, your computer is definitely infected and you should take care of this situation.
Since this is a relatively new infection, not all anti-malware applications have it on their databases and simply can’t detect it. For that reason we recommend you to use one of these anti-malware tools: Spyhunter, Malwarebytes or Stopzilla. Download and install one of these applications. Scan your computer with it afterwards. It will automatically detect and remove this threat for good. It will also protect your computer from similar infections in the future, so it’s worth having it installed on your computer. However, if for some reasons you don’t want to download any additional anti-malware software, you can remove YourAdExchange without it. Scroll down to the end of this article – there you will find our step-by-step YourAdExchange manual removal guide. Follow all the instructions carefully and you will be able to get rid of it manually.
If you have some questions about this removal process or infection itself, don’t hesitate to ask them in the comments section below. We will do our best to answer them all. In case you would like to learn more about YourAdExchange, please continue reading this article.
About YourAdExchange adware
This application is labeled as malicious for several reasons. First of all, it enters users’ computers without them even being aware of that. It is distributed bundled with other free applications that can be downloaded from the Internet for free. So it would be wise to download software only from reliable and well known sources.
Secondly, this application displays advertisements on web browsers while you browse the Internet. It works as a browser add-on that can be added to all most popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and even Safari. Those advertisements can come in various forms, such as pop-up, pop-under, in-text, contextual or banner advertisements. A new tab or window can be opened on your web browser as well. We don’t recommend clicking on any of those advertisements because if you do so, you will be immediately redirected to other websites that may be owned by cyber criminals. This way your computer can get infected or in case you attempt to purchase something there you can even get scammed and lose your hard earned money.
Another unwanted attribute of YourAdExchange is data collection. Once installed it will collect various information about your browsing habits, such as your browsing history, search queries, most visited sites or even your IP and email addresses. This information will be used for marketing purposes. The third parties adjust their advertisements according to the collected data and make them even more relevant and attractive to you this way, so chances that you will click on one of those ads rise. And that’s the main goal of YourAdExchange because its owners get paid for every click you make on those ads.
How to avoid YourAdExchange and other malware
In order to avoid YourAdExchange or other similar infections, you should be really attentive during the installation of freebies. Never skip any steps and always op out for a custom or advanced install mode if possible. This will allow you to see all available options and make changes. Don’t rush, because some of the most important information can be displayed in a very tiny font and you don’t want to overlook that. Reading all terms and conditions would be considered wise as well. If you notice that some additional software that you are not aware of is being installed alongside – do not allow this installation to be completed because it can possibly be YourAdExchange or any other malware of that type. In case it’s too late and your computer is already infected, wait no more and eliminate the virus from your computer.

I have been looking for the solution to this for a year. I finally discovered it in a very strange way. After reading a post on false extensions for Chrome, I happen to see one that said “QUICKTIME for CHROME”. All Chrome extensions have a link for details and this one had the details link, but it dod not go to Apple or anywhere in fact. Once I turned that extension off, youradexchange was gone. So for all of you that but a piece of software to fight this stuff, that is great. However, a quick simple test is to turn off everything but AdBlock and see if youradexchange pops up. If it does not, then it is one of your extensions and it will be really easy to find.
