AirFind might appear unexpectedly while you’re browsing. It is pushed by some related sites and iffy browser extensions and it replaces your default search engine.
If AirFind is hijacking your searches and you wish to stop that, then check your browser add-ons and other apps – one of them might be forcing your browser to open the site. Remove the app that’s causing problems.

What causes AirFind redirects?
If you found this web page, then you might have been seeing AirFind in your browser while searching the internet.
AirFind is an advertising company. It helps mobile sites and apps with targeted advertising and monetization.
However, I discovered it while using my desktop, not a mobile device, and looking into a group of fake search engines: QuikBrowser.com, Browsersearch.co Searchweb.io, Internetsearch.io, Onlinesearch.io, Nearbyme.io, and some others.
These alternative search engines would look one way when I first visited them, but they would quickly change and start using the AirFind logo:
Also, if you check those sites’ privacy policies, they always open AirFind’s privacy policy.
So, if you are seeing AirFind while browsing the web and searching for information online, then it might be that a fake search engine has infected your browser.
This is a problem, as the AirFind search engine lacks filtering and other features that you can find on Google.com, Bing.com, and other legitimate search engines.
Luckily, AirFind is not dangerous, only annoying. Likely, it appeared after you installed a bad browser extension. This could have happened thanks to some misleading ads or adware bundles. Such methods can cause us to install unwanted software unknowingly and without meaning to.
Problems with AirFind search
I seriously doubt that anyone chooses to use AirFind search. This site lacks features, it’s as simple as that. And people being forced to visit a site they don’t want to visit is always a problem.
A related issue is privacy. As an advertiser and as a search engine, AirFind has access to a lot of your data:
- your IP address and location,
- advertising identifiers and cookies,
- what sites you visited and which links (search results and ads) they clicked on,
- data from third-party sites.
This only applies if you do end up on one of AirFind’s websites. But if your browser opens them without your permission, such as because an add-on decided to redirect your search query to AirFind, then that is a real problem.
How to get rid of search by AirFind
Check your browser extensions, recently installed programs. If any of them look suspicious, check their names online. Uninstall all adware and potentially unwanted software.
You can also use anti-malware apps like Spyhunter for Mac, Combo Cleaner for Mac, Spyhunter for PC, and others to find malicious and potentially unwanted programs that you might miss yourself.
However, security scanners might fail to flag mild threats such as browser add-ons that can cause the AirFind redirects. So, you might still need to check manually your browser’s settings and extensions.
Pay attention to your default search engine settings. If any browser add-on is in control over your search engine, its name will be written there. Remove the extension as described in the instructions below.
Some browser add-ons are even able to open unwanted sites without having relevant permissions. If you still can’t get rid of the AirFind redirects, go ahead and disable all of your installed add-ons until AirFind stops showing up. Then, you’ll have found the culprit.
