How Allcoolposts.com works

It’s advertised online

Allcoolposts.com is a website. It makes money by showing ads. It needs more people to see those ads so that it can make more money.

So, Allcoolposts.com advertises itself online:

  • on video streaming sites,
  • file-hosting sites,
  • video-to-mp3 converters,
  • monetized URL shorteners.

Allcoolposts.com appears in a new browser tab completely unexpectedly, displays a loading bar, and tells you to click that “Allow” button on the “Allcoolposts.com wants to show notifications” prompt. If you do, that enables Allcoolposts.com to send messages to your browser.

Allcoolposts.com makes it seem kind of like you have to click “Allow” in order to continue. It doesn’t hide that it wants you to subscribe to its ads. But a lot of us are tired of pop-ups, disclaimers, and warnings, so it’s easy to imagine that many didn’t the small text on Allcoolposts.com and simply clicked the “Allow” button just so they could move on as quickly as possible.

Besides, Allcoolposts.com implies that you have to subscribe to its notifications if you want to “continue watching” (free movies, I assume). This is not true. You never need to allow notifications to use a website.

Allcoolposts.com looks like a news site or a loading bar depending on how you access it.

It advertises with notifications

Once Allcoolposts.com has access to a web browser, it starts sending ads. These ads appear as little boxes in the lower right corner of your screen if you’re on Desktop; they show up at the top of your screen if you’re on mobile. They are labeled with Allcoolposts.com’s name but they lead to other sites – to sites that are advertised by Allcoolposts.com.

They are often safe, even if their ads are unwelcome. From local businesses to global ones, a lot of businesses use Allcoolposts.com and similar sites (Hopsigna.com, Mainchargenews.com, Nbryb.com) to advertise.

But then there are risky or even malicious sites:

  • gambling, betting, and casino sites that may be unsuitable for children,
  • adult sites with very explicit content that might be unsuitable for children,
  • supplements and medicines that may be unregulated and could even be dangerous,
  • various scams, including fake virus alerts and get-rich-quick articles that end up being scams,
  • fake surveys and giveaways that lead to phishing scams.

Sites like Allcoolposts.com and others attract a lot of malicious ads not because they’re inherently bad, but because they lack regulation that other advertising platforms use. Don’t click on ads that come from Allcoolposts.com, or be very careful and skeptical.
