ArcadeGiant - How to remove

ArcadeGiant is another annoying adware that gets installed into users’ computers without their allowance. Once installed it will start display ads in all kinds of forms, including text link, popup/under, transitional and banner advertisements. We highly recommend not to click on those ads as they are delivered by third parties and once you will click on them you will be immediately redirected to a third parities website which may be infected and do damage to your computer. ArcadeGiant is a gaming website on which you can play games for free. To get access to all games on their website you will be asked to become a “Premium user”. It is totally free but by becoming a premium user you agree to let ArcadeGiant install this adware onto your computer. Besides that, this PUP (potentially unwanted application) also gathers your personal information like search queries, browsing history or top visited sites and adjust their ads according to this information to make them more attractive to you. It works as a browser add-on and can be added to all most popular web browsers including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer.

Even though ArcadeGiant is not a virus, a lot of users may think that way because it gets installed onto computer without their allowance or knowledge. When you agree to become a premium user on ArcadeGiant page, there is a line in their terms and conditions that says “Premium Game players (“Premium User(s)”) have access to the Premium Games at no charge in exchange for their agreement to install the ArcadeGiant software (the “Software”) on their computers or other computing device. The Software allows us to display third party applications as well as text link, popup/under, transitional and banner advertisements based on the web content viewed by that User.” In order to avoid this malicious program, do not become a premium user on that website. Using Control Panel to remove the main ArcadeGiant components and installers

1. Go to Control Panel. On Windows XP/Vista/7 open Start -> Control Panel , Add/Remove Programs or Uninstall . On Windows 8 enter Control Panel in the search box, then look for Uninstall a program. You may need to confirm that you are the administrator on this PC, in both cases.
2. Look for ArcadeGiant and /or similar looking items on the list of programs. By default, I recommend removing Yontoo, WebCake, anything “savings” or “coupon” related. Scanning with Anti-Malware programs like Spyhunter or Stopzilla might give a good idea of what programs you should remove from there as well.
3. Close Control Panel.

Removing ArcadeGiant from Internet Explorer

1. Press Wench icon->Manage Add-ons.
2. Go through Toolbars and extensions. Remove everything related to ArcadeGiant and items you do not know that are made not by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Oracle or Adobe.
3. Close the Options.

Removing ArcadeGiant from Firefox

1. Enter about:addons in URL field.
2. Go through Extensions and Addons list, remove everything ArcadeGiant related and items you do not recognise. If you do not know the extension and it is not made by Mozilla, Google, Microsoft, Oracle or Adobe probably you do not need it.
3. Optionally, reset Firefox: go to Firefox ->Help (Help in menu for OSX users) -> Troubleshooting Information. Then Reset Firefox.

Removing ArcadeGiant from Chrome

1. Enter chrome://extensions in url field.
2. Go through extensions list and remove programs you do not need, especially similar to ArcadeGiant. If unsure, you can disable them temporarily.
3. Restart Chrome.

Optionally, you can enter chrome://settings in URL bar , press Advanced settings, scroll to the bottom of the list and press Reset browser settings.
