DownLow App - How to remove

DownLow App is an adware program that displays tons of ads once gets into some system. The program seeks to advertise various websites and few products. The ads contain different coupons and they are mainly displayed when you are visiting some shopping websites, like Amazon, eBay, Walmart and so on. Each ad will be marked saying that it is brought by DownLow App.

Once you click on one of these messages you will be redirected to some unknown website. The purpose of this is to increase traffic to specific websites. It can also monitor your browsing activity and record this information. Later this date can be sent to the third parties where it is usually used for marketing purposes.

DownLow App infiltrates into computers bundled with various free software. It is possible to avoid getting this annoying program if you were a little bit more careful with your downloads. All you have to do it follow the steps of installation of any programs you are installing and check if if offers installing any additional application. Deselect any options to download unfamiliar programs as they may be malicious.

Remove DownLow App from your computer is you are already receiving its pop ups.  Below we provide some information how to get rid of this annoying adware. Pay attention to what Internet browser you are using and follow the instructions according that when restoring your browser settings:

1. Scan your computer using antimalware program that removes adware and browser hijackers, for example, Spyhunter.
2. Go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs -> Check is there are any unfamiliar applications related to DownLow App. If you see any, remove them. It is also recommended to remove any other applications installed on the same day.
3. Remove the toolbar from all of Internet browsers:
   • o For Internet Explorer: Go to “Tools” (or gear icon in Internet Explorer 9), -> “Manage Add-ons”. Search for DownLow App. If you find any entries, disable them.
   • o For Google Chrome: Click on the wrench or bars icon on the top right of the screen; go to “Tools”-> “Extensions”. If you see any extensions related to DownLow App, click on a trash can icon next to them.
   • o For Mozilla Firefox: Go to “Tools” -> “Add-ons” ->; “Extensions”. If you see any extensions related to DownLow App, disable them.
4. Check if your home page and default search engine are changed to the one you always used. If you see any unfamiliar addresses, replace it with your own, e.g. google.com.
