Globososo virus - How to remove

Globososo virus is a browser hijacker that replaces your default search engine, new tab page and home page with globososo.com, globososo.inspsearch.com or search.globososo.com. If you open these web pages, you will see that their design look like any other search engine. They offer web, images, videos and news search. Their creators, Kingtale Technology Inc, state that they provide the best results from such search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Bing by combining their results and removing any duplicates.

Search.globososo.com is related to another browser hijacker – Govome. The latter is owned by a Hong Kong company called Big Journey Technology Co.,Ltd. It uses search engine aggregator infospace.com and is hosted on Baidu (chinese search provider) cloud.

Globososo virus just like any other browser hijacker is usually distributed bundling the toolbar with freeware. Alas, it is a legal method and one can blame only himself for being inattentive when installing free programs. Additional applications and toolbars are listed to be installed by default and theoretically a person can choose not to have them added. In reality many simply do not read installation wizards therefore do not know how redirections like the one caused by Globososo virus appeared.

Once inside, Globososo virus will flood your system with numerous ads. At the same time your system performance will slow down considerably. It can even run random programs automatically making them use your system resources. If you try using one of the Globososo websites to make searches, you will mainly see sponsored websites in your search results. The program can include some malicious links too that will lead you to compromised websites.

You will not be able to reset your search provider, home page and new tab page by following common instructions for browser settings. Browser hijackers are programmed to ignore these changes. First of all you must remove the toolbar and any files related to it that can cause redirections. Search for anything related to Globososo virus in Control Panel Add and Remove Programs list. You should also remove any unfamiliar browser extensions. 1. Go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs -> remove anything related to Globososo virus.

3. Check if your home page and default search engine are changed to the one you always used. If you see globososo.com, replace it with your own, e.g. google.com.
