Hades is an adware so if your computer is infected with it, you will see tons of advertisements on all of your web browsers. Those ads look really appealing, because Hades collect various information about you (browsing history, search queries, most visited sites or even your IP and email addresses). They adjust those advertisements according to collected data, so that’s why they look so relevant to you. This way chances that you will click on one of those ads rise and that’s the main goal of Hades. Developers of this adware gets paid for every click you make on those ads.
Hades is affiliated with various third parties that often happens to be various cyber criminals, such as hackers or scammers. So if you click on one of those advertisements displayed by Hades, you will be immediately redirected to other websites that might be owned by various cyber criminals, such as hackers or scammers. This way your computer can get infected with other viruses or if you attempt to purchase something there you can even get scammed and lose your hard earned money this way.
Advertisements displayed by Hades can come in all kinds of forms, such as pop-up, pop-under, in-text, banner or contextual advertisements. New tab or even window with advertisement can be opened on your web browser as well.
Distribution Methods Hades adware
Hades travels in a malicious way called bundling. So, for instance, when you download and install some free application from unreliable website, there is a chance that Hades will be installed alongside without you even being aware of that. To avoid this happening, always pay close attention to the installation process of freeware.
Never skip any steps (don’t just click ‘next’ and ‘agree’ buttons without reading all information first) and always opt out for a custom or advanced install mode if possible. This way you will be able to see all available options and make needed changes. If your computer is already infected with Hades or any other adware, don’t wait too long and get rid of it right now before it causes you more damage.
