About HappySale adware

You can tell by the name that this application is presented as useful tool that will help you to get various coupons and sales offers and save your money this way. However, this is not true, you won’t save your money. Vice versa, you can loose it due this app. The problem is that all those coupons displayed by HappySale come in annoying form of web advertisements, such as pop-up, pop-under, in-text, banner or contextual advertisements. Usually they appear on eCommerce websites, such as eBay or Amazon – you will be offered to purchase some particular goods or services at very appealing price rate. Don’t fall for that trick – most of the time those offers are fake, they are just trying to win your attention and make you click on one of those advertisements this way.

If it happens so that you click on one of those advertisements displayed by HappySale you will be immediately redirected to other websites that might be owned by various cyber criminals, such as hackers or scammers. This way your computer can get infected with other viruses or if you attempt to purchase something there you can even get scammed and lose your hard earned money this way.

Another unwanted attribute of HappySale is data collection. Once inside it will collect your personal information, such as browsing history, search queries, most visited sites or even your IP and email addresses. They adjust those advertisements according to collected data and make them even more relevant and attractive to you, so chances that you will click on one of them rise this way. And that’s the main goal of HappySale because they get paid for every click you make on those advertisements.

Distribution Methods of HappySale adware

This adware travels the same way as most of other adware – bundled with various freeware  that can be downloaded from the Internet. For instance, when you download and install some freeware from the Internet, there is a chance that HappySale will be installed alongside without you even being aware of that. That’s why you should always pay close attention to the installation process of freeware and keep your computer secured with reliable anti-malware application.
