What is Htemplateshere.co
Htemplateshere.co is a website that replaces the new tab page on the web browsers where a browser extension called Templates Here Tab is installed. Htemplateshere.co provides a search box that opens Search.yahoo.com, a few links to clickbait sites, and a small list of websites that provide brochures, calendars, coloring pages, and other templates.
While Htemplateshere.co does provide a list of relevant template-themed websites in a menu. That list is pretty much the extent of Htemplateshere.co’s useful functionality. The rest is more problematic.
Htemplateshere.co promotes clickbait sites and a particular search engine. The Templates Here Tab also gets access to the user’s browsing history and the search terms that are typed into the search box on Htemplateshere.co. There is no need for Templates Here Tab to hijack the new tab page except to more effectively promote the clickbait sites.
It’s for a reason that so many antivirus programs detect the installer for Template Here Tab and related browser hijackers (VirusTotal link). Templates Here Tab can be the consequence or cause of more adware infections. It should be removed as quickly as possible.

Causes of adware infections
Templates Here Tab was developed by Eightpoint Technologies, a company that has developed dozens and dozens of other browser hijackers, including Classifieds List, My Search Finder, My Login Helper, and many others. Sometimes, these apps promote each other with notification ads and redirects.
Also, some of the browser extensions that might be installed together with Htemplateshere.co are not new tab extensions like it. Instead, they’re search hijackers – extensions that take over your address bar and change the default search engine. If you encounter Info.com, Hidemyhistory.co, or other alternative search engines, then a search-hijacking browser extension got into your browser.
Templates Here Tab can be found on Templatecreator.co, which is widely advertised on regular, unsuspicious websites.
Remember that just clicking on an ad won’t infect your browser with Templates Here Tab. A couple more clicks are required for that to happen. If you find yourself on a suspicious website, just close it and you’ll probably be fine. To avoid Htemplateshere.co and other new tab hijackers, just be careful and patient. Avoid installing unfamiliar software because infections can be easy to download but difficult to remove. It’s just lucky that Htemplateshere.co is relatively simple to get rid of.
