Internet Security Premium is a rogue application that imitates a work of an antivirus tool. It‘s trial version is designed to look very professional in order to trick naive computer users into thinking they are looking at a legitimate software. The truth is that the only aim of Internet Security Premium is to swindle your money away from you. Neither the trial version of the program nor the full one has any virus database therefore they are not capable of detecting and, moreover, removing any infections.
Internet Security Premium, just like its predecessor Internet Security, once installed to a computer makes certain changes to the system settings that enable it to launch every time a computer is turned on. The most obvious signs that your PC suffers from this infection is regular Internet Security Premium scans that end with thousands of warnings informing about various parasites found. You may see such names like W32.Blaster.Worm, Email-Worm.Brontok, W32/Child-Porn.PROXY/Server, Mal/Generic-A, various TrojanDownloader versions listed in the notices from this fake antivirus. All of the names used are generic therefore it is impossible to actually locate the infection. There is no need to tell that none of the threats actually exist on your computer, except for TrojanDownloader which is usually faulty for bringing Internet Security Premium into the system.
Some other signs of the infection are blocking of your programs and applications, particularly computer security tools. This fake software is programmed to turn off existing antivirus in order not to be detected itself. Please note that your computer is left without any protection, therefore it is very important to remove Internet Security Premium as soon as you can. Alas you will not be able to use the tools that are installed to your PC. Eliminating this rogue antivirus becomes even more complicated because it blocks you from downloading anything from Internet to ensure you will not install antimalware applications from online. Even though getting rid of Internet Security Premium is a complicated task, it is not a mission impossible. Follow the steps below and your computer will be fixed:
- Stop Internet Security Premium processes (without doing it you will not be able to launch any anti-malware program or download it from Internet). Try the following:
- Press Start->Run. Enter taskkill /F /IM itdefender.exe in the field and press enter. Repeat this step several times, till malware window closes. (depending on the version of a malware, you might also need to use taskkill /F /IM amsecure.exe, taskkill /F /IM isecurity.exe or taskkill /F /IM indefender.exe).
- Another way to stop malware processes is by pressing ctrl+shift+esc. The command will open task explorer. Normally the latter should be killed by Internet Security Premium malware. However, if you are quick enough to press “End program” button while your PC is busy, you can kill malware process too. Please note that this method is not the most reliable one.
- Scan your PC using more than one anti-malware program in order to identify infected files, for example Spyhunter or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. These are paid programs therefore for removing the threat you will have to purchase them. You may also try a manual removal without purchasing a program since it gives the location of the infection but the latter method is recommended only if you have enough knowledge about computers not to delete important system files.
- Remove Malware startup entry by launching msconfig and unchecking the malware process from startup list.
