Kwiblesearch virus - How to remove

Kwiblesearch virus is a browser hijacker that is distributed to computers through free software downloads. It’s a program that changes your homepage and default search provider to kwiblesearch.com and causes a bunch of annoying problems like redirections to malicious websites, adding sponsored websites to your search results and so on.

Kwiblesearch virus does not damage the system directly. However, it can lead to bunch of malicious websites that could cause serious infections. What is more, it is very annoying to constantly be disturbed while you are making some searches or just visiting your favorite websites. The goal of Kwiblesearch virus is to improve traffic of specific websites and promote them by making these redirections.

1. Click arrow on the right of search box
2. Do following: On IE8-9 choose Manage Search providers, On ie7 click change search defaults
3. Remove the Kwiblesearch.com from the list

How To remove Kwiblesearch virus from Firefox :

1. Enter “about:config” in url bar. This will open settings page
2. Type “Keyword.url” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
3. Type “browser.search.defaultengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
4. Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click it & reset it.
5. Search for ‘browser.newtab.url’. Right-click and reset. This will make sure that the search page won’t launch on each new tab.
6. If the settings revert and scan with anti-malware programs are clean: Close Firefox, open file explorer and enter %AppData% in the address bar. enter user.js in search box. If this file exists, rename it and start Firefox again. You will have to repeat the steps above.

How To remove Kwiblesearch virus from Google Chrome:

1. Click 3 horizontal lines icon on browser toolbar.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Basics ->Manage Search engines.
4. Remove unnecessary search engines from the list.
5. Go back to settings. On Startup choose open blank page ( you can remove undesired pages from the set pages link too).
