Once you do so, you will allow installation of an adware, browser plugin, browser extension or other application that is related to investigating your browsing habits and using this information for marketing purposes. You should also know that if the program is able to get access to your browsing history, it can easily violate your privacy as well.

  1. Enter chrome://extensions in url field.
  2. Go through extensions list and remove programs you do not need. If you are not sure about any, you can disable them temporally.
  3. Restart chrome.
  4. Optionally, you can go tochrome://settings , press Advanced settings, scroll to the bottom of the list and press Reset browser settings.
