MinimumPrice - How to remove

MinimumPrice virus is a questionable reputation browser plugin that can be added to all most popular web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. Due to malicious behaviour this program is listed as an adware and a PUP (potentially unwanted program). This adware is willing to display ads on whatever website you are on. MinimumPrice promises users to provide them with the best price offers online and save money that way. However, this is not true and all those offers are fake and come from the third parties sponsors. In fact, if you click on one of them, you are in risk to get infected as it will redirect you to a third parties websites which may be infected.  In addition to that, MinimumPrice also gather your personal info like browsing history, search queries and similar data. This information can be handed to their parties later on. They adjust their ads according to your browsing habits and make them more engaging to you this way. Though this is not officially a virus, a lot of users think that way because program can be installed on computer without user knowledge.

MinimumPrice travels bundled with other free software that can be found on the Internet. If you downloaded and installed something from the Internet for free, there is a great chance that this adware came bundled with it. That being said, you need to be very attentive during the installation of freebies. Always opt out for a custom or advanced mode and make sure you do not skip any steps if you don’t want your computer to be infected with MinimumPrice. Using Control Panel to remove the main MinimumPrice components and installers

1. Go to Control Panel. On Windows XP/Vista/7 open Start -> Control Panel , Add/Remove Programs or Uninstall . On Windows 8 enter Control Panel in the search box, then look for Uninstall a program. You may need to confirm that you are the administrator on this PC, in both cases.
2. Look for MinimumPrice and /or similar looking items on the list of programs. By default, I recommend removing Yontoo, WebCake, anything “savings” or “coupon” related. Scanning with Anti-Malware programs like Spyhunter or Stopzilla might give a good idea of what programs you should remove from there as well.
3. Close Control Panel.

Removing MinimumPrice from Internet Explorer

1. Press Wench icon->Manage Add-ons.
2. Go through Toolbars and extensions. Remove everything related to MinimumPrice and items you do not know that are made not by Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Oracle or Adobe.
3. Close the Options.

Removing MinimumPrice from Firefox

1. Enter about:addons in URL field.
2. Go through Extensions and Addons list, remove everything MinimumPrice related and items you do not recognise. If you do not know the extension and it is not made by Mozilla, Google, Microsoft, Oracle or Adobe probably you do not need it.
3. Optionally, reset Firefox: go to Firefox ->Help (Help in menu for OSX users) -> Troubleshooting Information. Then Reset Firefox.

Removing MinimumPrice from Chrome

1. Enter chrome://extensions in url field.
2. Go through extensions list and remove programs you do not need, especially similar to MinimumPrice. If unsure, you can disable them temporarily.
3. Restart Chrome.
4. Optionally, you can enter chrome://settings in URL bar , press Advanced settings, scroll to the bottom of the list and press Reset browser settings.
