MP3Juices is a video-to-Mp3 converter that is free to use. The files that are downloaded from MP3Juices are safe, though sometimes potentially illegal to download, as their audio tracks might be copyrighted. But the ads that MP3Juices shows are sometimes a bit unsafe.
To deliver its ads, MP3Juices uses notifications – messages from sites to browsers. If you’re getting pop-up ads from MP3Juices even when you’re not on the site, then notification spam is affecting you.

Problems with MP3Juices
Controversial ads
The files that are downloaded from MP3Juices are safe, however, the site shows some potentially unsafe ads that ought to be avoided. These ads may be even dangerous, such as those promoting get-rich-quick scams.
An ad for just such a scam (Bitcoin Revolution) was the first notification that MP3Juices sent me. It’s a very common scam, unfortunately (Beware this ‘celebrity’ bitcoin scam).
Other ads that are advertised on MP3Juices, 2conv.com, YTMp3, Savefrom.net, and other converter sites may include:
- Adult content – browser games, chatting services, explicit videos. Some of these ads don’t betray that they lead to adult sites, which can make for awkward situations.
- Similarly, gambling sites and casinos. These sites often start by giving you free spins in staged prize draws.
- Unwanted paid software and tech support. Fake virus alerts are sometimes used to scare people into buying tech support services and software that they don’t need.
- Diet, male enhancement pills, miracle cures, and other dubious drugs and supplements. Often, they use made-up stories, just like those Bitcoin scams.
Some of the ads shown by MP3Juices and other converter sites are considered to be risky. Be careful with the pop-ups.
Difficult to avoid ads
Different MP3Juices sites have different ads. Some display unavoidable ads any time you click on any buttons, others only show pop-ups intermittently. But all of them seem to use notifications to deliver advertisements.
Advertisers love notifications for the same reasons that so many people find them annoying:
- They are difficult to ignore. They sometimes require you to close them, or else they won’t go away.
- They can be designed to look like anything. Unfortunately, some are designed to mislead users.
- Ad blockers have a hard time blocking push notifications.
If you use MP3Juices and other converter sites a lot, it may be good to use a reputable ad blocker and turn it on for sites that are aggressive with their advertising. In addition, you may want to turn off notification prompts in your browser: in order to subscribe to a site’s notifications, you’ll have to do it manually, in your settings and no site can trick you into doing it accidentally.
