Newsmagic.net is a malicious website that works like online adware. We’re usually threatened by desktop adware or browser hijackers, but there are many websites that require very little to start bombarding us with advertisements: just permission to push notifications — a single button press. Newsmagic.net is like that, as well as Allneed.pro, Renropsitto.info, and many other sites.

Many internet users might be unsure about how to restore their browser to normal and stop the intrusive pop-up ads. Luckily, it’s not complicated. But if Newsmagic.net managed to take control of your browser to push notifications, this is a chance to find out how it got to you; unwanted desktop applications are sometimes responsible for leading people to malicious websites, and if that’s true in your case, they should be rooted out of your device before they cause any serious problems.
The Newsmagic.net ads are annoying, and some of them point to dangerous sites, but Newsmagic.net isn’t really a virus: it’s not as bad as fire-encrypting ransomware or Trojans can be. But Newsmagic.net could, if not stopped, lead to serious virus infections. Just recently, a dangerous cryptovirus was distributed by deceptive ads. Rogue applications and tech support scams could also use Newsmagic.net to reach more people. And let’s not forget the privacy concerns which come with having adware. Your browsing habits being tracked by the people behind Newsmagic.net could be dangerous, especially if that information gets into the hands of someone malicious. Data that’s collected by tracking people’s activities online is routinely sold and compiled for the use of advertisers, but if it’s leaked to criminals, they could abuse that data for monetary gains.
We need to be aware and alert to avoid malware, but even if we fall for it, it’s not too late to fix things.
How to stop Newsmagic.net ads
To stop the pop-ups yo only need to block notifications from Newsmagic.net and other adware sites. This can be done in the settings of your browser. Obviously, Newsmagic.net is not a site that’s using notifications in good faith — it sells its “services” to advertisers and manipulates people to allow the notifications by lying to them. But all notifications are malicious, so you might want to enable those from the websites that you trust and want to see updates on. Newsmagic.net, once you’ve disabled notifications from it, won’t be able to push any more ads to you.
There is a possibility that you only saw Newsmagic.net thanks to some adware or browser hijacker that was already installed on your device. You can try and scan your computer with a good-quality antivirus program like Spyhunter to see if an unfriendly application is redirecting you to sites like Newsmagic.net.
How Newsmagic.net behaves
Newsmagic.net creatively decorates their website around the notification alert, to try and trick people to click the Allow button. Newsmagic.net plays an animation of a loading video, or a loading bar. Sometimes text is displayed, for example:
You need to “Allow” in order to continue…
But there might have been no text at all. Newsmagic.net might set the browser window to be displayed in full screen. Trying to dismiss the Newsmagic.net’s alert causes you to be redirected to another adware site, premiumbros.com. It can be frustrating trying to get out of Newsmagic.net, even if you know that you shouldn’t allow notifications. Besides, it’s simple to accidentally click on the “Allow” button, after which, Newsmagic.net starts showing pop-up ads; each one covers a lot of the screen, and each one needs to be manually dismissed. Among the advertised products are other adware sites which could result in more ads than just Newsmagic.net, making Web browsing very frustrating.
The problems caused by Newsmagic.net are fixable, but it’s also best to avoid malware altogether by installing the newest updates for your browser and your operating system (viruses abuse even patched vulnerabilities because they know that some people don’t install updates) and by allowing your antivirus program to update and scan your device regularly.
