The Newstext.biz website primarily spams ads and redirects people to promoted content. This deceptive page tricks people to subscribe to its notifications which then distractingly appear over the content of your browser. If you end up on the Newstext.biz page, it redirects you to an online tracker which records your activity.

If, while browsing, you notice unexpected boxes which link to some website, your first thought might be that it’s a normal ad. But these pop-ups follow you wherever you go. They don’t go away and accumulate if you ignore them. And Newstext.biz is only one of many sites that abuse the notification system to spam people with ads. That’s not what notifications are meant for.
What is Newstext.biz?
It’s a website that spams ads to your browser. Unlike normal sites that place ads next to their normal content, Newstext.biz has no content. It does two things:
- Send ads to the people who allow notifications from Newstext.biz.
- Redirect visitors to promoted pages.
Newstext.biz is promoted by various adware sites and programs — this might look like the page just opens on your browser on its own. Maybe it popped up when you clicked on a totally unrelated link. It could have also happened that you clicked on an ad on a shady website and were taken to Newstext.biz. The more infected your browser or computer is with adware, the more likely you are to encounter even more adware.
When you visit this site for the first time, you might see a page that tells you to click the “Allow” button.
Press “Allow” to watch the video
There are many variations of this message that other ad-pushing sites use, for example:
- To access the website, click “Allow” (Hetontbetca.info).
- Click “Allow” to confirm that you are not a robot (Pertonthati.info).
- If you are 18+ tab Allow (Pushsroutg.com).
Of course, the messages are lying and the only thing that clicking the “Allow” button does is invite the pop-up ads. Unfortunately, a lot of people unwittingly fall for this (and it is easy for it to happen accidentally) and don’t always know how to make the ads stop. And the are good reasons to want the ads to cease.
What kind of content does Newstext.biz promote?
Newstext.biz ads are potentially really harmful. Scams and fake lotteries, gambling, scareware, and other malware.
Scams such as the Netflix stocks trading scam might look interesting, especially when they only require a small investment, but they’re not worth even a tiny hope. Investment scams like it are only going to take their victims’ money and leave them hanging.
Fake lotteries, like “You won an iPhone Xs” try to get you to pay for your nonexistent prize and to get from you your private information. This includes your address and your credit card data. These scams are common online, the one I encountered through Newstext.biz was similar to this one. Believing the sweepstake scam would result in you being told that you won a phone, then scammers asking you to pay escalating sums of money to them.
Newstext.biz also advertises some potentially unwanted software (PUP), like OneSafe PC Cleaner and Qbit Clean Pro. These programs have quite a few problems, like dishonesty and incompetence, so it’s not surprising that they work with an adware site.
Other PUPs pushed by Newstext.biz include browser hijackers like Install.stream-all.com. Once installed, these replace your search provider with one that shows more ads. It’s ultimately adware, just like Newstext.biz.
These are just a few examples of the type of content that the Newstext.biz ads expose people to. Just the fact that these still are created means that there are still people who fall for them and lose their hard-earned money to online fraudsters. Remember to never reveal your phone number, name, credit card data, or any other private information to any website that isn’t sure to be legitimate. And to reduce tour exposure to malicious sites by blocking ads form Newstext.biz.
How to stop advertisements by Newstext.biz?
To address the pop-up ads that are sent through your browser, you can bock them in the settings of your browser. For example, if you use Chrome, you should type into your address bar:
chrome://settings/content/notifications
Alternatively, you can access the same settings by clicking Menu, Settings, Settings, Advanced, Privacy and security, Content settings, Notifications.
Now find Newstext.biz, click on the menu, and choose “Block”. But don’t just stop here — review your list of sites. If there are any unfamiliar addresses, feel free to block them, too. You can always re-enable these permissions later, but if those other sites are similar to Newstext.biz, then there is no reason to keep them. Or, if you don’t use notifications at all, you can use this guide to stop them altogether. Knowing how many sites that work like Newstext.biz are out there — Chainthorn.com, News-easy.com, Xilbalar.com, many others –, that might be a good idea.
The only way the above instructions wouldn’t work is if a background virus on your computer has control of your browser. If you suspect some adware of hijacking your browser, or just noticed your computer running slower, reviewing your installed programs could be useful. Afterward, perform a scan with a strong antivirus tool like Spyhunter (Windows), or Combo-Cleaner (Mac) to make sure that there is no malware on your device.
