How does Neztflix.com work?
Neztflix.com is advertised online
Neztflix.com is a fake film streaming site. It looks pretty solid at first glance, but there are a few signs that something isn’t right.
The name “Neztflix.com” is probably intended to get users to mistake it for Netflix, even though the sites are completely unrelated. It’s unethical for Neztflix.com to try and get people to mistake it for a reputable site. Reminds me of Nexflix.us, another fake streaming site. It’s very similar to Neztflix.com.
Another issue is that Neztflix.com lists unreleased films, such as Eternals, as being available to watch. That’s a big red flag.
Neztflix.com appears in web search results when people search for free movies. Indeed, it’s easy for fake sites to show up high in Google search results. Especially when people search for movies that aren’t out yet.
Neztflix.com is also promoted by spam blogs and Twitter accounts.
It shows advertisements
Neztflix.com doesn’t look like it has any ads. The site also doesn’t trigger pop-ups to open in your browser. This is different from most free streaming sites.
In a way, though, that’s understandable – Neztflix.com, being a fake streaming site, doesn’t host or stream any videos, it doesn’t need much money to remain up and running.
The thing about Neztflix.com is that you can’t actually watch any TV or films on it. It just never works. The only point of Neztflix.com is to show ads, and it’s being pretty clever about them:
- it waits until you try to play a movie or download it,
- then, it opens an advertised page, often designed to look as though it’s part of Neztflix.com.
Some of the ads that Neztflix.com shows include ads for iffy VPNs, media subscription scams (Mydiethub.com, 365playpro.com, and similar), mobile service subscription scams (like Ouisys.com), reward sites, browser hijackers (such as ConvertItSearch), bitcoin trading scams, etc.
While Neztflix.com does look like a real streaming website, any time you try to watch or download a movie, it shows an ad such as those mentioned above. In my case, it is almost always a subscription site. Neztflix.com says “Please Sign Up for free now” or “Create Your Account – Continue to watch” and forwards me to another site that asks me to fill a form.
The registration process asks the user to sign up with their email address, name, and credit card information. You’re promised that you won’t be charged at all for “validating your account”, but that’s not completely honest. Here’s what can be found in the Terms of the sites that Neztflix.com advertised to me:
5 day trial, which Renews to a 1 month Premium Download membership at €57,95 EUR/month if not cancelled prior to the end date.
60 € per month is a lot of money, especially when people might sign up thinking that it’s all free. And these are the types of websites that Neztflix.com advertises.
How to avoid Neztflix.com
Neztflix.com doesn’t spread malware. But it does lie to people and trick them into signing up for expensive subscriptions.
It’s far from the only site that does this: Genflix.online, 7movi.com, as well as other fake pirating sites such as Cdkeys.website, also show ads after promising free movies and games.
Such sites spread in social media and in internet search results. It’s best not to pirate anything and get your entertainment in legal ways, but if you must fly the Jolly Roger, then find a community and only used reputable, trusted sites (as much as illegal sites can be trusted).
Most importantly, never give your credit card info or any other personal information to unknown sites. Always google the site and see what reviews it has before giving it access to your money.
It helps to use ad blockers as a lot of dangerous sites use ads to show up. Ad blockers aren’t perfect, though, so it’s important to always be careful. It’s also good to protect yourself with antivirus apps such as Spyhunter for Mac, Combo Cleaner for Mac, Spyhunter, and others.
