NJoyMovies browser hijackers include nJoyMovies Now, nJoyMovies Search, and nJoyMovies Search Plus. These three Chrome extensions work together as adware. NJoyMovies descriptions are about helping you find information about actors, movies, and video clips, but in reality, the hijackers inject ads in the websites that you visit. All NJoyMovies hijackers should be removed from your browser as soon as they’re discovered.

What is NJoyMovies
Once NJoyMovies hijackers are installed, show you ads in your browser and in web search results. This allows NJoyMovies to control what you see and to collect data on your browsing habits. Ultimately, the NJoyMovies hijackers are adware and they are used by their creators to make money off of your web browsing.
When you search the web, NJoyMovies make Yahoo return the results. They can control and change which website is used to get your results or even stop showing you search results altogether. They can also modify what search results you see, like add advertisements or replace links.
If you want to use another search engine, such as Bing.com, you actually have to go to that website and then search. And even then, NJoyMovies hijackers can see what you search for and mess with your results. All three hijackers can see and change your data on the websites that you visit. This not only allows them to inject ads into websites, but also to spy on you and even see all the text that you type.
According to NJoyMovies’ privacy policy, your browsing habits are used to show behavioral ads, which are usually much more profitable for advertisers.
Besides reading and changing all of your data on all websites, the three NJoyMovies hijackers each have different permissions:
- NJoyMovies Search changes your search settings to movix.eanswers.com.
- NJoyMovies Search Plus changes them to movix.searchalgo.com.
- NJoyMovies Now doesn’t change your search settings but it does change your new tab page and show you notification pop-ups.
NJoyMovies Now gets installed together with either Search or Search Plus. The Search and Search Plus hijackers are not very noticeable and may remain installed on some browsers without the knowledge of the victim.
The NJoyMovies hijackers are part of a big family of adware infections. They’re related with Searchalgo.com, Powersearch.online, Playnsearch.net, Eanswers.com, Specialsavings.com, and other adware sites. NJoyMovies are also very similar to GamesZone. These hijackers seem much less popular now than they used to be, which is good. However, browser hijackers are still a problem.
How to remove NJoyMovies hijackers
It’s unlikely that NJoyMovies hijackers were advertised online. They were probably installed on your computer by some old free programs that had it bundled. Bundling is often used to distribute unwanted software. The developer of the hijacker pays some developers of free programs to include the hijacker as an optional offer, or they pay for each successful installation. Legally, you have to be warned about the optional offers, but these warnings can be so well-hidden that most people miss them.
It’s possible that adware or another malicious program installed NJoyMovies on your computer, too.
To get rid of the NJoyMovies hijackers, uninstall them from your browser and/or scan your device with an anti-malware tool, such as SpyHunter for Windows or Combo Cleaner for Mac OS. Remove malicious and potentially unwanted programs and be careful with free downloads in the future.
If you are afraid that NJoyMovies swiped your passwords or even your credit card data, change the passwords after you have cleaned your computer. And watch your credit card data closely. I’d like to believe that the people behind NJoyMovies do not actually steal such sensitive data. However, it’s not in your hands what the operators of browser extensions do with the data that they get about you. That’s why you should check all of your browser extensions and remove or disable the ones that you don’t need.
