Pegasus Spyware Activated is just a cheap attempt to scare users and make them pay for nothing. I declined so then the person was agree & threatened me with the possibility of my ipad being open to more infection where anyone could get my personal info & banking info then said it would cost me $1,000 if I wait..At that  point I realized this is probably a scam & hung up on them. I only use my ipad for games. Theres no personal info on it. They just wanted my money!

These scam messages are targeted specifically to devices running iOS operating system – it can be a Macbook, iPhone or iPad. Here’s original text of the scam message:

System might be Infected due to unexpected error!
Please call Apple Care immediately at: +1-8333-370-777
Do not ignore this critical alert.
If you close this page, your Apple Device access will be disabled to prevent further damage to our network.

Your Apple Device has alerted us that it has been infected with a virus and spyware. The following information is being stolen…

You must contact us immediately so that our engineers can walk you through the removal process over the phone. Please call us within the next 5 minutes to prevent your Apple Device from being disabled.

Users are threatened that if they fail to call number +1-8333-370-777 immediately, their Apple device will be locked and it will cost $200 to unlock it. However, it’s a lie and your computer is most probably not infected. We do not recommend to ever call numbers displayed on advertisements like this – we have encountered YOUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN BLOCKED and Coperanking999.today infections in the past and they all operate the same way.
