Revercecaptcha.com is a malicious website that tricks people into subscribing to its notifications – only to send them a bunch of advertisements. The ads from Revercecaptcha.com are non-stop little pop-ups that lead to all kinds of suspicious websites.
Stopping Revercecaptcha.com from sending ads is pretty easy, you just need to open your internet browser notification settings. It’s also a good idea to stop notification permission requests from showing so that Revercecaptcha.com and sites like it can’t ask you to “click allow” ever again.

How Revercecaptcha.com works
It shows unwanted ads
Revercecaptcha.com is an advertising website. You may have noticed its name stamped on little pop-ups and notifications that might periodically appear on your screen.
The ads might be for how to make money, how to lose weight, ads for adult sites, even malicious ads that say that your device is infected. The ads sent by Revercecaptcha.com have its name in the corner.
If you’re being spammed with unwanted ads from Revercecaptcha.com, then you must have accidentally agreed to receive notifications from the site. That’s very easy to do by accident, especially on mobile.
Luckily, if a bad notification permission for Revercecaptcha.com is the only problem, it’s very easy to fix. You can find instructions for revoking notification permissions at the bottom.
Revercecaptcha.com pretends to be a captcha
Revercecaptcha.com gets advertised online. It often shows this little robot that says “Click Allow to confirm that you are not a robot!”.
Allow is the button in the upper left (might be the bottom of the screen for mobile users), on the “Site wants to show notifications” prompt. Clicking Allow then enables the site (in this case, Revercecaptcha.com) to send us notifications.
Notifications – messages straight from site to browser – can be shown as long as the browser is open. They’re supposed to be used for urgent messages, such as new emails in your inbox. But Revercecaptcha.com uses them to send ads.
I’m not aware of any Captchas that get solved by subscribing to a site’s notifications (How CAPTCHAs Work). Any time you’re told by a website that you must enable notifications to access content it’s best to assume that you’re being lied to.
How to avoid notification hijackers
It might be worth it for you to block notification prompts. You can do that in your notification settings. Sites like Revercecaptcha.com, Download-app.net, and Newslive35.com will no longer be able to show you notification prompts but you’ll still be able to enable site notifications by going into the settings page.
It’s also useful to check your device for adware and malware. You can use an antivirus program, such as Spyhunter for Windows, Combo Cleaner for macOS, or another app. You can also manually check your apps and remove those that are suspicious:
- Mobile users should examine what apps they have installed and uninstall those that are suspicious.
- Desktop users should examine their browser extensions and disable those that are unfamiliar or look suspicious.
A manual check combined with an anti-malware scan should be enough to make sure that your computer, phone, or tablet is free of malware.

How to disable Revercecaptcha.com’s ads
Since Revercecaptcha.com uses notifications to deliver ads, you can stop it by changing your notification settings:
- Chrome – open Settings, scroll down to Site settings (under Privacy and security), click on Notifications.
- Edge – open Settings, click Site Permissions, Notifications.
- Safari – in the Safari menu, choose Preferences, Websites, Notifications.
- Firefox – open Settings, Privacy & Security, scroll down to Permissions, and click on Settings next to Notifications.
There’s a list of “Allow” sites – those that are allowed to send you notifications. Review it and switch unwanted sites, including Revercecaptcha.com, to “Block”. Consider also disabling all notification prompts.
