SaveNShop can be installed onto computers without user even being aware of it, so there is a chance that you have this one on your PC as well. This application is listed as an adware and a PUP (potentially unwanted program) so if you have noticed that SaveNShop is operating on your computer, you will probably want to get rid of it. Once installed, SaveNShop will display continuous pop-up ads on your web browser. It is a browser add-on that can be added to all most popular web browsers, such as Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. It also has some attributes of browser hijacker – it will change your search engine and home page. It is not recommended to use this search engine because it will display you corrupted search results with a lot of in text links to its sponsors’ websites. Once your systems starts, this adware starts as well. Even though developers of SaveNShop promise that it will be a useful tool for you that helps to find the best deals when shopping online, this is not quite true. All those offers and coupons come from the third parties and therefore are fake. If you click on one of those ads, you will be immediately redirected to websites that may be infected and cause some sort of harm to your computer. Or you can end up being scammed as well. And these are not the only malicious activities performed by SaveNShop. This adware will also collect your personal information, such as browsing history, search queries or IP address and transfer to mentioned third parties later on. They adjust their ads according to the given information and make them more attractive to you this way, so the chance that you click on the popups rise. SaveNShop makes money by generating web traffic and collecting sales leads. That’s exactly what they want you to do – to click on those ads. Most of cyber security specialists advise to remove this application from your computer as soon as possible.
If you don’t remember installing SaveNShop on your PC, it was probably installed bundled with some free software downloaded from the Internet. I.e. when you download and install some application, SaveNShop can be bundled with it. That being said, if you want to void installing this malicious application on your computer, you should pay attention to the installation wizard of freebies downloaded from websites with a questionable reputation. Do no just click “accept” and “next”, instead read everything carefully. Look through all terms and conditions as well. If possible, opt out for a custom or advanced install mode to be able to see all options. This should prevent you from installing anything unwanted. In case your computer is already infected, you should scan it with a trustworthy anti-malware, such as Spyhunter or malwarebytes. It will detect and remove the virus automatically. If you prefer to perform this manually, feel free to follow our step-by-step SaveNShop removal guide given below.
