Search.ividi.org virus is a browser hijacker that is mainly installed when downloading various games or some free tools from the Internet. The program compromises Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. It can affect just one or all browsers at the same time. Users usually do not notice the program until it already changes browser’s settings and causes some more unwanted issues.
Search.ividi.org virus changes your default search provider and start page to search.ividi.org. Although it looks like a regular search website, it mainly displays sponsored links among the search results and also causes tons of redirections. Sometimes it can add Ividi Toolbar too. The program does not ask users’ permission to make all those changes in the browsers and for this reason it is considered to be a potentially unwanted program.
You should be very attentive when installing any programs form the Internet. Always follow installation steps instead of making it very quick and just hitting on the Next button. Usually all bundled programs are listed at one of the installation steps. Refuse installing Search.ividi.org or any other unknown applications to your computer.
If your browser has already been affected, remove Search.ividi.org virus as soon as you can. Go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove programs list and uninstall it from there. It is important that you remove all other programs added with this hijacker, as some of them might redownload or reset back browser settings. Scan with Spyhunter as it identifies such programs quite well. You should also check browser extensions for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. If you do not see Search.ividi.org listed, you should use antimalware tools like SpyHunter and scan your computer with it. Uninstalling the program from your computer doesn’t change your search providers, it only stops ads appearing on your computer. You will have to do it manually by yourself.
