TelevisionAce (or Television Ace) is a browser extension released in order to make TV easier to watch online, or so its description claims. In reality, it’s a browser hijacker that tries to control how you search the web and to monetize that. TelevisionAce is a type of mild adware that causes you to see more ads than normal and spies on your browsing habits to make the ads more effective. On top of that, this hijacker probably got installed without you wanting it.

• The whole reason why TelevisionAce takes over your homepage is to get you to use the MyWay search engine and to look at the ads displayed there.
• And all this – after the hijacker was probably installed without your informed consent.
