TrimModule is nothing more than another nasty adware application that will flood your web browsers with unwanted advertisements. Due to the fact that this application is travelling in an illegal way, you can only notice it when it’s already inside of your computer. However, that’s not a difficult thing to do – usually advertisements displayed by TrimModule adware are labeled with a slogan “Ads by TrimModule” or “Brought to you by TrimModule”, so if you have noticed this occurrence on any of your web browsers, your computer is definitely infected and you need to take care of that.
There are two most common ways how you can eliminate this infection – either manually or automatically. It’s much easier and less time consuming to perform this automatically, so we recommend you to select this method. Simply download reliable anti-malware application, such as Spyhunter or StopZilla and scan your computer with it. It will instantly detect and eliminate the virus for good. It will also protect your computer from similar infections in the future, therefore it worth to keep it installed on your computer.
In case you don’t want to download any additional anti-malware software, you can remove TrimModule manually. However, this process requires some specific knowledge, therefore we have developed a step-by-step TrimModule manual removal guide to assist you. Follow all steps carefully and you will be able to eliminate this infection by yourself.

About TrimModule adware
It works as browser add-on that can be added to all most popular web browsers, including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer or even Safari. This means Apple users can get infected as well. TrimModule will display advertisements in all kinds of forms, such as pop-up, pop-under, in-text or banner advertisements. New tab or even window with advertisement can be opened on your web browser at any time as well.
We don’t recommend to click on any of those advertisements, because if you do so, you will be immediately redirected to other websites that may be owned by various cyber criminals, such as hackers or scammers. This way your computer can get infected with other viruses or in case you attempt to purchase something there you can even get scammed and lose your hard earned money.
That’s because TrimModule works as advertising network for cyber criminals. Since they are banned from all legitimate advertising networks like Google or Facebook ads, they use adware like this to promote their websites and drive some traffic to them. This being said, if you keep TrimModule installed on your computer, cyber criminals can reach you right on your web browser on a daily basis and that’s really dangerous.
Another unwanted attribute of TrimModule is data collection. Once installed, it will collect various information about your browsing habits, such as browsing history, search queries, most visited sites or even your IP and email addresses. They adjust those advertisements according to collected information and make them even more relevant and attractive to you this way, so chances that you will click on one of them rise. And that’s the main goal of TrimModule because they get paid for every click you make.
Distribution Methods of TrimModule Adware
TrimModule is distributed the same way as most of other malware of this type – bundled with applications that can be downloaded from the Internet for free. I.e. when you download some PDF generator or media player, there is a chance that TrimModule will be installed alongside without you even being aware of that. So if you want to avoid this happening, pay close attention to the installation process of freeware.
Never skip any steps and always opt out for a custom or advanced install mode if possible. This way you will be able to see all available options and make needed changes. Look for various checkboxes that can be already checked for you. If you notice that some additional software that you are not aware of is being installed alongside – don’t allow this installation to be completed because it can possibly be TrimModule or any other adware.
