Webpass Ads virus - How to remove

Webpass ads virus is one more adware that is installed to computers without users consent and permission. The program infiltrates into computers bundled with free software. It can be added to Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome browsers. Many people call it a virus but the truth is it is an annoying adware program that is however recommended to be removed.

The purpose of Webpass ads virus is to promote some products or services. Basically it displays random messages on your computer screen that contain various discount offers and deals that lead to different sponsored websites. This way the program increases traffic of these pages and promote them. At some stage you may even find these messages useful as they allow you to know about really good shopping offers. However, with time you will notice that it brings many inconveniences and the messages are very disturbing.

What is more, Webpass ads virus can redirect you to some malicious websites where you will be risking to get your system infected. The are tons of infections that can infiltrate into computer just after you click on some malicious link. The program  can also be installed together with other malicious programs, like rootkits. All these factors make this adware an unwanted application and computer experts recommend to remove it. To remove Webpass Ads virus from your computer, follow the instructions below:

1. Scan your computer using antimalware program that removes adware and browser hijackers. We recommend using Spyhunter.
2. Go to Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs -> Check if there are any unfamiliar applications related to Webpass Ads virus. If you see any, remove them. It is also recommended to remove any other applications installed on the same day.
3. Remove the toolbar from all of Internet browsers:
   • For Internet Explorer: Go to “Tools” (or gear icon in Internet Explorer 9), -> “Manage Add-ons”. Look for Webpass Ads virus and disable it.
   • For Google Chrome: Click on the wrench or bars icon on the top right of the screen; go to “Tools”-> “Extensions”. If you see any extensions related to Webpass Ads virus, click on a trash can icon next to them.
   • For Mozilla Firefox: Go to “Tools” -> “Add-ons” -> “Extensions”. If you see any extensions related to Webpass Ads virus, disable them.
4. Check if your home page and default search engine are changed to the one you always used. If you see any unfamiliar address, replace it with your own, e.g. google.com.
