Crooks behind this scam is trying to scar people and make them think that they are in some kind of a legal problem because the version of Windows they are using is corrupted. They also inform users that Windows OS is now blocked due to security reasons, even though it is not true – you can simply close a tab and walk away.

In some cases Windows Product Key Failure tab might not close and present you with a new pop-up, box. To close it you should open a task manager and manually end the process of your web browser. This way new-tab scam will be gone.
