www-searching.com virus is a browser hijacker that can easily infiltrate into your Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari. It’s a program that distributes tons of cookies and tries to track your browsing habits in order to be able to advertise commercial pages and make financial profit. Although, at first, you may think this is just another search engine, in fact this website is not safe to use and you should get rid of it from your browser as soon as possible.
www-searching.com virus is also one of those deceptive websites that will include advertisements for rogue versions of MacKeeper. An advertisement leads to a domain that inserts an uncertified XAR archive called MacKeeper.pkg. The same file is promoted via Adexchangegate.com and Predictivadnetwork.com. According to the scan we ran (VirusTotal scan), the .pkg file is a Trojan.Application.MAC.PazaCA.1, PUA.OSX.MacKeeper, Riskware.Script.MacKeeper.enqqce and Gen:Variant.Application.MAC.

Update of Www-searching.com computer virus
Www-searching.com is one of the older browser hijackers. It was created over 5 years ago, but still manages to gather a solid amount of users. It is not often that security experst have an opportunity to investigate domains that start with “Www-”. Therefore, there only a few similar infections: Www-search.info and Www-homepage.com are one of them. Advertisements from 1-1ads.com website are incorporated into Www-searching.com and they might promote not the most reliable websites/services.
Www-searching.com virus has done an impressive job and infecting tons of people from a variety of countries. The biggest number of reports originated from United States, Zambia, Netherlands, United Kingdom and France. If your native language is French, we have removal guidelines in French.
Also, this browser hijacker triggers repetitive redirects. Users could briefly notice Www3.searching.com or Www7.searching.com links in their address bars. Soon after this, new URLs will be presented, like, Best.aliexpress.com. This redirection strategy also promotes Gomusix.com, Myfood.ltd, App1.greatmacsoft.pro, App4letsloebefast.today and a bunch of other deceptive websites. Most of them offered people install rogue versions of security tools and answer surveys.
We are also specifically concerned with the search network that generates results to search queries. About www-searching.com virus
www-searching.com virus usually affects browsers when you download some free programs to your system. You will learn about distribution methods of this browser hijacker further in this article. Once inside, the program modifies your browser’s settings. It can make alterations in multiple browsers at the same time. First of all, you will notice www-searching.com set as your start page and search provider, despite your previous choices.
If you make a search using this website, you will see that it includes numerous commercial pages in your search results. Moreover, you will notice much more ads than usual. www-searching.com virus tries to promote various sponsored websites, as it gets paid for clicks on their links. Beware that not only you will not be able to browse regularly and get reliable search results, but also you will risk of clicking on infected pages. There are no guarantees www-searching.com virus advertises only legitimate sites.
“Malvertising” strategies (Malvertising: coming to a website near you) might be rather novel and an unexplored concept. A shocking parade of advertisements are going to walk by you and some times, after getting infected, you won’t be able to distinguish the exact malvertisers that are responsible for your infection. These sneaky advertisers cover their identity under a cloth of mystery and remain to proceed unpunished for distribution of malicious executables. www-searching.com virus is not a malicious infection itself, but its persistently pushed around content is not always labeled as “secure” or “appropriate” for utilization.
For example, one of the infected users complained to be infected with this browser hijacker since this domain had became their home page and a start up page (the browser user had was Microsoft Edge). Along side this intrusive invader, this person also noticed that various pop-ups were brought to his/hers screen. At times, they were harmless, but one of them caught his/hers eyes as it suggested that an unauthorized activity has been detected.
Then, it offered to install a life-saving application, which turned out to be just another potentially unwanted program (PUP), which was not actually concerned with users’ security. We are asking you to eliminate www-searching.com virus as soon as you start to have an inkling of its presence. Of course, not only Microsoft Edge can become infected. Mostly all preferred browsers can become exposed to vulnerabilities such as these. One of the users noticed that after he/she had downloaded Google Chrome, a couple executables were downloaded without her approval or knowledge.
Distribution Methods of www-searching.com virus
As already mentioned above, www-searching.com virus is usually added bundled to other freeware that you can download from the Internet, for example music or video players. It is strongly recommended to be more careful with the installation steps of any new downloads and always read their Terms and Agreements. Never agree to change your home page with some unknown website or always use well known-search providers to ensure you browse safely.
Obviously you should choose a Custom or Advanced installation mode instead of a Basic one in order to be able to see all additional programs that are set to be added by default. Never agree to install unfamiliar applications to your system. Make sure you deselect check boxes next to the indications about such downloads.
If your browsers have already been affected, you must remove www-searching.com virus as soon as possible. None of these work. But the only way (that I found that works) is to go to Start, right click your browser, select properties, and look at the Target field. Delete the “http://searching.com/[randomstuff]” part and close it with a quotation mark. No more searching.com!
THANK YOU, none of the above worked for me then I read your reply and now, no more of that annoying search crap. /highfives
i had already gotten rid of the virus but the last remnant was the search page showing up when i opened a tab in firefox.
i had already done the target field and that did not help. .
this is the one element i needed that changed it for me.-
Type “browser.search.selectedengine” in the search box. Right click and reset it.
finally. joy.
thanks
mary

Hey there. I used one of the suggested tools, it detected number of infected programs and eliminated them. My computer seemed to start working properly again, but after I restarted it, it seems like I am infected again. Should I run a check up again or what?
Ben : ignore low level threats ( e.g. tracking cookies, etc). Scan with different program as well ( if you scanned with spyhunter use malwarebytes ).
u sir are awesome 😉
hello, i’ve been stuck with this browser redirect issue for more than a week and getting really irritated with this issue. nothing is working! i’ve been reading a lot everywhere, i’ve done everything i read online:
1. removed related programs under control panel
2. removed the random long stretch of searching.com in target of my browser, and closing it with quotation : now it looks like this “C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe”
3. removed any related extensions
4. reset my default search engines and home pages
but none of the above has worked. i really really need help!!!
1. There might be computer policy update (like special instruction to reset browser settings to searching-com hidden)
2. Or you missed browser setting freezing program.
Spyhunter has its own free browser settings freezer, so you could use it (free option during install). Just enter google.com and it should help.
Thank you! this thing was getting me crazy!
