YogaPoseOnline is a browser add-on made by Mindspark/Ask Applications. YogaPoseOnline replaces the default page in your web browser. Its functionality consists of links to various websites and its real aim is to advertise Myway.com. YogaPoseOnline may seem helpful at first, but it’s just another new tab hijacker.

What is YogaPoseOnline
YogaPoseOnline is a browser add-on, a little program that changes how your web browser functions. In this case, YogaPoseOnline changes the default page in your browser, the new tab page. This is the page that people typically use to search the internet from, where the links to their most visited sites are, and where their personal background image is displayed. Some people set a specific page as their new tab, however, YogaPoseOnline overwrites that setting.
When YogaPoseOnline is installed, it gets a few powers:
- controls your new tab page (it’s now hp.myway.com/yogaposeonline/ttab02chr/index.html),
- reads your browsing history,
- shows notifications (pop-ups in the browser’s corner),
- controls apps and extensions.
YogaPoseOnline is a lot like WatchMyTVShows, OnlineMapSearch, EasyDocMerge, and many other Mindspark extensions. Almost all of them do the same thing: change your new tab page to one that has a search box that opens Myway.com, while all the useful functionality is outsourced to third-party sites.
A much better system for you if you want yoga links on your new tab would be to create your own new tab page – no extensions required.
How YogaPoseOnline gets installed
YogaPoseOnline can be found on Yogaposeonline.com. It’s advertised as helping you “take your yoga skills to the next level”. There are a few ways you can end up with it in your browser.
The first one is to come across Yogaposeonline.com while browsing the web. Although it’s possible that ads for YogaPoseOnline appear on normal websites, the various browser extensions released by Mindspark often use search engine result advertising and appear as ads on sites like Tabssearch.com, Incognitosearches.com, Searchencrypt.com, etc. The problem is that those search engines tend to appear in browsers that are already hijacked by a malicious browser extension.
Another possibility is YogaPoseOnline being bundled with some free programs. Downloading and installing such a bundle carelessly results in junkware being installed on your computer without you having really agreed to it. These programs have installers that ask you if you want the additional apps, but they also mark the checkboxes to make you “agree” by default, then leave it for you to catch them and uncheck them. Bundling is often used to spread PUPs (potentially unwanted programs).
How to remove YogaPoseOnline
You can use an antivirus program, such as Combo Cleaner for macOS, Spyhunter for Windows, or something else, to find and remove malware from your computer. That’s a good method because it scans your device and helps you mop up the junkware that you may have missed. However, some antivirus programs cost money, and sometimes we prefer to do things ourselves.
You can uninstall YogaPoseOnline from your browser manually, I included the instructions in the following section. But it’s important to check all the browser extensions that are installed and to remove all that are even slightly suspicious. Often, new tab hijackers come with other malicious browser extensions, such as Search Application by Ask or Hide My Searches.
Finally, if you are seeing pop-up ads that you don’t want to see in your web browser, you can block unwanted notifications. This can be done in browser settings, as laid out in this article.
