About YouBoost adware
YouBoost works as browser add-on that can be added to all most common web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or even Safari. That means Apple users can get infected as well.
Even though it is described as useful application that will allow you to download various media files way faster, we doubt it. This application has some side effects, such as advertisements, thus it is listed as an adware and you should not trust it.
Once inside YouBoost will flood all those web browsers with various ads in all kinds of forms, such as pop-up, pop-under, in-text, banner or contextual ads. New tab or even window with advertisement on it can be opened at any time as well.
We do not recommend to click on any of those ads displayed by YouBoost because if you do so, you will be immediately redirected to other websites that might be owned by various cyber criminals, such as hackers or scammers. This way your computer can get infected with other viruses or if you attempt to purchase something there you can even get scammed and lose your hard earned money.
Distribution Methods of YouBoost adware
YouBoost might enter your system when you download and install some freeware from the Internet. For instance, when you download and install some PDF generator or media player from unreliable website, there is a chance that YouBoost will come bundled with it. That’s why you should always pay close attention to the installation process of freeware and keep your computer secured with trustworthy anti-malware software all the time.
